I am thrilled to announce that six archival silver-gelatin prints of this photograph ‘Holding Hands by the Seine’ are now available.

I’m running a special sale of this print for one week only, from 14 July (tomorrow) through 21 July. ‘Holding hands by the Seine’ is more than just a photograph, it is a hand-crafted celebration of love and beauty, and a meditation on those moments in life and in travel that bring us together.

The photograph is inspired by Paris, the ‘city of Lights and Love’ and La Seine, her magnetic, majestic river. Photographers, artists, poets and writers, like Apollinaire in the quote above, have all sought romance and inspiration along her banks.

This photograph was made was made on the first trip I took with my wife and family in 2022, after two years of being unable to travel. We had been holding hands ourselves on the road above the river, just moments before I saw this scene begin to coalesce down on the quay below.
